I am a licensed clinical social worker with over 10 years experience in providing therapy to individuals, families, and couples. I have helped many overcome anxiety, depression, PTSD, chemical dependency, trauma, family conflict and separation. I also work with impulsive and obsessive disorders, and I specialize in treating emotional, sexual, and physical abuse survivors. My experience additionally includes working with immigrants forced out of their home and country due to war, famine, and torture.
My highest accountability and priority is to the individual who comes to me for treatment. The treatment I provide is client centered and focused on the mental, emotional, and behavioral health and wellness of individuals, families, and couples. The techniques I use and teach in therapy, are based on mindfulness and change. My training allows me to provide a unique therapy that interweaves cognitive behavior, psychodynamic, motivational interviewing, and existential treatment together. This eclectic approach allows each individual to feel safe to disclose, discuss, and learn how their past affects their present, and can change their future.
Prior clients have complimented me with statements such as, very warm and engaging, compassionate and empathetic, understanding and sensitive. I am honored and aware of these compliments and continue to live by their meanings. I am culturally sensitive, non-judgmental, and open minded with 44 years of my own experiences and trials. I am also a person in long term recovery. I know time is a valuable commodity. Therefore, my approaches are very structured and goal-oriented. If you're sick and tired of being sick and tired, I am here to assist you on your road to recovery.

Sean has been considerate, supportive and encouraging from day one.
His approach of giving space to be who I am while listening, offering sound advice and work to be done, then, when required, following up with a solid dose of "get it done!" has been the single greatest source of growth in my life ever.
There's a long road to walk yet, but with Sean as a guide I feel confident and hopeful for my future self.

I got very lucky to be matched with Sean McGraw on the first try, he has been a great fit for me. He actively listens to my ramblings about my interests, allowing me to use those interests as a way of working through more difficult topics. He also allows me to voice my frustrations about various issues I encounter without judgement or criticism, and helps me find solutions that are realistic and achievable. Overall, my experience working with Sean McGraw has been excellent.

Sean is... very patient with me. Though the sessions are short he always makes sure I get to share as much as I can so he knows what he can say to me. He's just really good at his job is all. I've only spent little time with him but I can tell he's a good at what he does.
