Selena Colston

About Me

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the State of Georgia. I have over 20 years of experience, working in a variety of settings, with many different populations. I have worked with clients dealing with depressive and anxiety disorders and many other life concerns, such as phase of life transitions, parenting, grief/loss, substance use, and homelessness.

My counseling stance provides warmth, compassion, and understanding. I believe in helping clients with dealing with their symptoms, not define themselves by their diagnosis. Coping and managing distress is possible. Especially with moving towards understanding and knowing values, purpose and meaning in life can transform you and bring you fulfillment. I most times utilize Solution Focused Brief Therapy when working with clients. However, I am well versed in CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) and ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy).

I would truly enjoy the pleasure of getting to know you and assist you towards your recovery goals! I hope to hear from you!
