My name is Shadareia and I’ve been a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor in the state of North Carolina for four years. I graduated from East Carolina University in 2014 with a bachelor's in Rehabilitation Services and a minor in alcohol and drug studies. I later attended Lenoir-Rhyne University where I received my graduate degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.
I have worked in a variety of settings that include: outpatient, residential, and community-based therapy. I have experience helping children, adults, and families navigate through substance use, mental health, trauma, and family/relational challenges. I also have experience helping clients work through stress, anxiety, and depression. My counseling style is collaborative and compassionate. My approach to counseling combines person-centered, cognitive behavioral, solution-focused, motivational interviewing, and family systems.
