About me

I am licensed in the state of California by the Board of Behavioral Sciences as a Marriage and Family Therapist . A licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is someone who has specialized training regarding the important role that human connection plays in our overall wellbeing. An MFT is educationally equipped to treat individuals, couples, and families.

I graduated with a Master of Science degree in Counseling Psychology from a state university in 2012, and I became fully licensed as a therapist in 2021. Along the way, I picked up professional experience as an entrepreneur, a project manager, and a teacher. I’ve also had the personal experience of raising four children, three of whom have already launched into their own, adulting, adventures.

My primary training is in Psychotherapy ("talk therapy") techniques. Psychotherapy is a process of exploring our life experiences. The goal of this exploration is to increase self-awareness and reveal the mental and emotional conflicts that are keeping us stuck in unwanted patterns. My therapeutic approach also includes an emphasis on practical solutions for making positive changes in the shorter term. This shorter-term therapy is called Solution-Focused. This combination of approach is a good fit for those struggling with adjustments to life changes; those searching for a deeper meaning in life; and those seeking to grow in love and acceptance toward themselves and others.
