I am a person-centred counsellor, as well as a hypnothearpist. I have 4 years experience as a counsellor, but have worked with clients for over 10 years in the capacity of a Pastoral Learning Mentor and as a volunteer counsellor for various charities as well as having my own private clients. I work with clients using primarily the person-centred approach, but have learned other skills over the years and will incorporate those in the counselling room, such as art therapy, CBT and other therapy forms, I often attend courses and seminars to expand on my knowledge and to learn new ways of supporting clients. Each client will get sessions catered to them and their individual needs and unique way of working. I am originally from Denmark but have lived in the UK for 20 years and feel that I bring some of my heritage to the sessions, as I am at times being able to be more direct and more solution focused if this is what the client wants/needs.

Shanne is very calm and easy to talk to and I feel I've made a lot of progress with her

Shanne is so sweet and supportive when I am down on myself for my lack of progress towards my goals, she listens to me while also offering gentle advice to further my progression. I definitely enjoy talking with Shanne and would recommend her to anyone that needs someone who truly cares about their wellbeing.

Even though being skeptical about virtuel therapy, Shanne made me feel very comfortable from the beginning of our first session. She listened to what I had to say, offered me good tools and tips on how I can work on the things I need to work on at the moment. I give Shanne my highest recommendation :-)
