About me

I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in California (LMFT) and I have been working in a counseling field since 2010. I have experience working in Child Welfare, non-profit and private practice settings with individuals, couples, families and groups who are experiencing a wide range of challenges.
Much of my experience has been dedicated to helping those affected by trauma. My experience with this hurting population spans over 10 years. I am trained in Trauma-Informed Practice and have assisted individuals and families in overcoming barriers to safety and self-sufficiency. I believe in helping others realize how trauma has affected their life and how to look beyond the problem to the possibilities of a peaceful now. I enjoy working with others on their journey to becoming the best version of them self.

Shannon is an incredible person. She listens with out judgment and she truly shows how much she cares. She’s passionate with her knowledge and advice but the best thing Ive experienced so far is that she listens and actually takes in what your saying. She has held space for me and given me very motivating and inspiring advice. She is by far the best therapist I’ve seen so far and I will continue to work with her on my goals. It was honestly hard for me to find someone I clicked with and it was an instant connection with her. Thank you Shannon!

Shannon is truly amazing! I love working with her and she’s given me very helpful feed back to cope with my problems. Highly recommend her.

Gosh, where do I even start! I feel extremely lucky and blessed to have been paired with Shannon. As a mental health professional myself, Shannon is able to provide counseling and insight relevant to the work I do. Not only improving just my mental health, but my work life too. It’s a shame there aren’t 100 of her available to help people!

Shannon has been wonderful. Her style (with me at least) is conversational and warm - like a close friend - but peppered with data and experience. It's a perfect way to get counseling virtually, I think. I always look forward to speaking with her.

Shannon is exactly the right balance of attentive without pressuring. She’s helped pull me out of some dark places and kept me stable. Could not recommend enough.
