About Me

Hello,

My name is Shannon and I have been practicing as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker for 7 years. I attended New Mexico Highlands University where I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Social Work in 2011 and my Master’s degree in Social Work with a Clinical Concentration in 2012. I am trained in attachment therapy and have worked in many different settings providing therapy to individuals and families. Some areas include relationships, anxiety, depression, attachment, stress, and life changes to name a few. I work from a systems, strengths-based perspective and believe that building a trusting relationship is key to the client success. I always meet my clients where they are at; rather than where I think they should be. I am passionate about helping others reach their goals and look forward to helping you reach yours! I have chosen BetterHelp as I want to support you. I respect the vulnerability it takes to reach out for whatever your needs are and love that there is an alternative platform to do this. I look forward to working with you!

Very helpful, understanding, and patient, Shannon does not push for more than I am ready to give. She helps in the ways that are most beneficial for my personal experience without minimizing what I tell her.

Shannon is an amazing counselor. She listens to what I have to say and always makes me see the good progress I am making and helps me stay on track. I love betterhelp's platform where we can chat or she can send worksheets etc between sessions. I have had counseling before but this by far is my favorite method and counselor.

I have always been skeptical about therapy. After my first session with Shannon, I am fully convinced therapy is exactly what I need to better myself.
