Shannon Baldonado, LCSW
About me
Hello,
My name is Shannon and I have been practicing as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker for 9 years. I attended New Mexico Highlands University where I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Social Work in 2011 and my Master’s degree in Social Work with a Clinical Concentration in 2012. I am trained in attachment therapy and have worked in many different settings providing therapy to individuals and families. Some areas include relationships, anxiety, depression, attachment, stress, and life changes to name a few. I work from a systems, strengths-based perspective and believe that building a trusting relationship is key to the client success. I always meet my clients where they are at; rather than where I think they should be. I am passionate about helping others reach their goals and look forward to helping you reach yours! I have chosen BetterHelp because of the various ways that clients can access their therapy. I respect the vulnerability it takes to reach out for whatever your needs are and love that there is an alternative platform to do this. I look forward to working with you!

Shannon is compassionate and wise, and she seemed to grasp the roots of my problems quite quickly after one conversation. She gave practical advice and homework, and after working with her I came away with a better understanding of myself and my difficult feelings. Thanks Shannon!

Shannon is flexible in her approach to the issues I present helping me look at them from various angles and points of view. She respects my opinion and efforts at change and the person with whom I have issues. Her objectivity is appreciated. She is encouraging and recognizes progress. I have recommended both her and BetterHelp.

Very helpful, understanding, and patient, Shannon does not push for more than I am ready to give. She helps in the ways that are most beneficial for my personal experience without minimizing what I tell her.
