About Me

Since I was very young I have been fascinated with story. It began with watching and reading stories, creating stories and now I listen to personal stories. Our stories are important to us and they form us in to the people we are.

Finding new meaning underneath your understanding of yourself is integral to changing your current internal reality. Self efficacy is an important part of self esteem. Whatever your current issue you may feel as if you could be more effective in your life and work.

I will challenge you to see things from a different view that I am hopeful will shift your focus toward your goals. After working in the entertainment industry with very creative people I have an awareness of how personalities are structured and the way those personalities work within a whole. Communication is an important part of getting what you need from others.

Because I am intensely curious about people my client's experience me as accepting and non judgmental. Your life may not be the way you envisioned it and it seems unclear how you can re-vision your future. Let's you and I work on that together.

I am a licensed therapist who has worked in mental health for 13 years in both inpatient and outpatient settings that include rehabs, counseling centers, agencies and private practice.

Shannon has been an absolute joy to work with. She is always friendly, super easy to talk to and maintains a level of professionalism that I need in a therapist. She has a lot of experience which brings many great ideas into our talks. She has helped me through some pretty difficult stuff. Thank you, Shannon!

I like that Shannon is compassionate and empathetic without being overly motherly; she validates my feelings, but then helps me move though them to a productive place. She is good at getting to the roots of things, and provides direction that feels purposeful and meaningful, which I appreciate. I do want to use this place as a means of self-expression, but I like that Shannon also understands that I want to “get to work” and not only talk about things, but also accumulate skills and strategies to help me move forward. In essence, I like knowing that Shannon will hear me AND help me with her training and perspective.

Our sessions leave me feeling a sense of renewed hope, and texting with her makes me feel valued and supported. She actively seeks the best way to support me as an individual. Shannon is warm, friendly, and compassionate.

Only been a couple of sessions... but I can tell I will continue with her. She has a lot of experience and knows what she is doing. I am pretty impressed with this online platform... usually I’m for in person therapy.
