About Me

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker licensed in Indiana, Kentucky, and Florida with 8 years of experience working in a variety of positions including addictions counselor, inpatient social worker, and outpatient therapist. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, addiction, life transitions, and self esteem issues. I have also helped many people who have experienced trauma, both chronic and acute.

My counseling style is compassionate and goal-oriented. I believe everyone is as unique as their finger print, with a set of life experiences, physical makeup, and social dynamics that are completely one-of-a-kind and all deserving of respect and understanding. So I tend to not stick to one technique, but rather pull from a variety that best fits the individual needs and desires including cognitive behavioral, solutions focused, mindfulness, motivational interviewing, and narrative therapy. I want to meet you where you are at and work together on solutions because we all need help at one point or another!

It it wonderful that you have taken the first step because it is not an easy one and you should be proud! Whenever you are ready, I would love to partner along side you and navigate whatever situation you are going through with kindness and determination.

I look forward to working with you!

It has been great working with Shannon so far! She responds almost every day to messages and we have a face to face session scheduled. She is very thorough in responding to each topic and is very encouraging to talk with. It is easy to open up with her and even through messages, I can tell she listens and genuinely cares about her clients!

The first visit told me all I needed to know. Shannon is a GREAT listener, and sometimes that's what you need. A neutral listener. But she also is good at talking you through your feelings.
