Hello, my name is Dr. Shannon Francom, LMFT. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist based out of Texas, with over a decade of experience working with individuals, couples, and families, with a variety of presenting concerns, such as: depression and anxiety, trauma, marriage/family/relationship issues, boundaries, parenting problems, addiction, and many more.
Everyone, and I mean EVERYONE, experiences some sort of hardship, trauma, conflict, or setback at one time or another in their life. Sometimes we seem to handle these distressing situations, events, and problems with our relationships with ease, and sometimes we seem a little lost, misunderstood, or like we can't quite keep our head above water. The good news is that change and recovery is possible, and I can help! :)
I approach our therapeutic relationship with understanding, compassion, "realness," and validation. I enjoy incorporating humor into my sessions, meeting clients where they're at in their journey, and pushing them when they are ready to move forward. My approach combines emotion-focused and attachment-based therapy models, as well as structural, solution-focused, and narrative strategies, depending on the needs of each specific client.
Reaching out for support is the first step in healing, yet can also be one of the hardest. This process can feel overwhelming and difficult at times. I am happy to start this journey with you, and I look forward to speaking with you soon.

I was a little nervous to start doing any kind of therapy but Shannon has completely erased any of that. She is a calm presence who helps me see things a different way. She is amazing and I am so excited to keep working with her!
Shannon is incredibly responsive and does regular check-ins with me, which I greatly appreciate. Her ability to deeply listen and understand core issues related to family / relationships have tremendously improved my mental health. She has been my regular counselor for over a year now and am grateful to have found a therapist with her background and expertise.
Shannon is very supportive and understanding and doesn’t pressure me to respond to posts when I am unable to due to work and family obligations.
I'm so thankful in the changes I have seen in myself with the guidance from Shannon. Therapy sessions with her have been amazing!

Shannon has been a great help to me! She hears me out and really takes the time to provide me with a clear view of what might be going on. Shannon is helpful and gives me tips and exercises that have been a great help and addition in my life. Highly recommend Shannon and this site. It’s only the best virtual option out there. Thank you!
Shannon is awesome and understanding.
Shannon is great! She is really honest and doesn't sugar-coat advice so it is delivered to me in a way that I can understand and make use of. She's readily available and pushes me to really work an address my problems in a way that I don't absolutely hate. I recommend Shannon to everyone!
Shannon is excellent. She responds and has helped me see things I have not looked at before. I would sometimes like a little quicker response but am overall thrilled.
I haven’t been doing this long but the time I have has made me optimistic about the future and I know I have a good counselor in Shannon- I can feel that she cares.
Shannon Francom has renewed my faith in therapy as well as in myself and my ability to grow. She listens and responds with non-judgment and compassion. She also adapts her style to fit her client’s worldview. Through many years, I’ve undergone hours of session time with at least five therapists. Shannon could very well be my last. I highly recommend her.
Shannon is encouraging and fair. I’ve really enjoyed speaking to her!
