About Me

First off, congratulations on taking the first step in regaining control over your life! It takes a lot of courage to reach out and let someone help you when you are in a vulnerable state.

I am a licensed clinical social worker(LCSW/LMSW) in the states of North Carolina and Michigan, a Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselor (CAADC) in North Carolina and Michigan, and also a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist. I have 11 years experience working with a variety of disabilities such as developmental, behavioral, mental health, as well as adjusting to any physical disabilities. I have also dedicated the past 5 years working in the field of substance use and mental health after my sister passed away from an accidental overdose. I really wanted to immerse myself in learning everything about mental health and substance use and I can now understand what it is like from a family perspective, along with understanding the perspective of the person with mental health or addiction issues.

My counseling style is warm and interactive. I believe in treating anyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, and I don't believe in stigmatizing labels. If you're looking for a therapist that can help guide you through adjusting to disabilities, dealing with addiction, grief and loss, depression, anxiety, Borderline personality disorder or figuring out how to cope with any other life changes then I look forward to working with you.

So far my therapy sessions have been applied and helpful to my life. I was nervous about trying this app but when I was matched with my counselor she seemed to know what I needed and everything she has sent me so far has been extremely helpful. She's very kind and responds appropriately. I would recommend her for other people she's wonderful!
