About me

It is my intention to host a safe, non-judgmental space to explore thoughts, feelings and behaviors. Together we can look at what may be keeping you from a more peaceful life and a more loving connection to yourself and others. I work with clients on tools and strategies to help with symptom reduction as we explore the roots of these symptoms and learn what you need for a deeper level of healing.

I believe a powerful part of the healing process for clients is creating awareness. In a safe therapeutic relationship I can help you identify the thoughts, narratives and distorted core beliefs that cause you suffering, keep you repeating the same patterns and block you from a higher quality of life. With gentleness and compassion we can explore the places you may get triggered and the old wounds that continue to cause fear and pain.

As each person is unique, my approach is based on what is relevant for you. I am an interactive and collaborative therapist. I welcome any questions you may have about how I work and the therapeutic process.

"The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change." (Carl Rogers)

Reviews

These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Shannon Kennedy. We don't pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.

Shannon is great - she has such a naturally comforting and understanding presence, and I come out of each session feeling better. She's shown nothing but patience with my merry-go-round of problems, and I've actually developed actionable insights from our sessions together. Couldn't recommend more :).

Enjoyed the pace and gentle questioning to help in defining what I wanted to achieve, and if Shannon was the right person to support my journey. It's helped me in gaining a level of context on my challenges and provided a tool kit / techniques to try out. A very positive experience so far.

Shannon and I have only been working together for a little bit of time, but she is intuitive, kind, gentle but firm. She works with my schedule and I am always blown away by how quickly she gets me. I highly recommend her, she's amazing.

Shannon has been so AMAZING! For the first time ever, I feel like I can open up to someone in a safe and non-judgmental space. We have only been communicating for a few weeks but I am looking forward to the journey we are paving.
