I am an enthusiastic and hard-working, responsible person who loves helping people. I had wanted to be a counselor my whole life, but was taken in a different direction early on. Later in life when I realized I could get my masters degree without re-doing my bachelors, I went back to school and got my M.A. in Professional Counseling. I was finally able to do the job I loved (and get paid for it!). I work with a variety of clients, but my specialty is in working with child sexual abuse victims and their non-offending family members. I work a lot with people who have experienced trauma and domestic violence. But, I also work with people who might just be struggling in their life, feeling depressed or anxious, or just need a sounding board. I do a lot of work with parents as well and believe a balanced family system is very important. As a mother of two grown daughters, I bring a lot of life experience to the table. I am also passionate about LGBTQIA+ issues. Basically, anyone who is an underdog is going to get my attention.

Shareen is a great match for me. She understands that non-religious counseling is an important part of making me feel better. It has been hard for me to talk about my executive functioning challenges when everyone else seems to be consumed with pandemic anxiety that I don't share. It is great to have a counselor who understands that risk-taking and forgetfulness are every bit as much pandemic related as other people's feelings of worry.
I am still currently working with Shareen, I think it has been two weeks. But she has really helped me appreciate myself more. I am still struggling everyday, but I have confidence that she will always be there for me and help me live a good life.
I have been doing counseling off and on for years. I am still blown away after our first session that she knew after talking to me after an hour she can read between the lines and can figure out how I feel all the time. It did not take many sessions like others to figure it out.
Shareen is awesome!
Shareen is a great listener, and very easy to talk to. She delivers thoughtful responses. She has an open mind to different kinds of beliefs, and she seems to genuinely care about her clients wellbeing.
Shareen is extremely insightful and creates a welcoming atmosphere. I have found the few sessions we have had to be decidedly useful.
I have tried other platforms, even been in live counseling. Shareen is BETTER than other digital platforms and has had me feel more heard than a therapist I saw in person. That is a genuine and authentic person.
Shareen provides a safe, responsive environment. She’s supportive, gets back to me quickly, and allows me to set the pace and type of session. She’s very good at reflecting my thoughts and putting a better spin on them. I so appreciate her caring approach!
Shareen has been wonderful to work with. She is incredibly responsive, warm and intuitive. I get so much out of our sessions. She has taken the time to get to know me and understand my issues. I cannot thank her enough for being there for me.
