Greetings, I have been working as a counselor for over ten years and have been licensed in Virginia for over two years. Written by K.A. on Oct 10, 2018 after counseling with Sharmane for 3 weeks on issues concerning depression, and stress, anxiety

Sharmane has provided me with excellent counseling over the past several weeks. I came to her looking to get my anxiety and depression in check as it was affecting my personal life and, since I started my sessions with her, I (as well as my family) have noticed a significant change in my demeanor. Sharmane asks the right questions and also provides supplemental material to help me focus on and analyze my issues from a logical standpoint. For someone who has been told just “to get over it” and had, up to this point, found it extremely difficult to do so, these questions allow me to look at the larger picture and get to the root of what is making me feel the way I do so that I can better control it. This is the help I was looking for -- small, 30 minute sessions over a live chat service to express my concerns and get the counseling I needed to improve my life.

Sharmane has provided a secure atmosphere in her sessions to allow me to be free to explore thoughts, feelings, and emotions I typically keep hidden. She also has provided added supplemental worksheets to work on key areas and to set goals for myself. I am happy with where Sharmane has guided me thus far. Highly recommend her.
