About Me
Sharon is an LPC with a Masters degree in counseling from Colorado Christian University. She is a member of the American Counseling Association. Sharon strongly believes that, “There is no problem too big or too small.” Sharon commonly facilitates thought interventions through empirically-based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Sharon is trained in another highly researched modality: Eye Movement, Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) for relieving anxiety, trauma and depression. She is also certified in addictions counseling and is a registered CAS (certified addictions counselor). She believes in treating the whole person, not just the identified problem, and focuses on relating closely with her clients. Sharon’s eclectic counseling approach allows her to personalize treatment to each individual client. Sharon has had many successful counseling relationships that have addressed issues including but not limited to depression, anxiety, PTSD, life stressors, overcoming childhood issues, negative self image, trauma and conflict resolution to name a few. Sharon lives by her counseling motto, "Come for the Counseling stay for the Change."
