I have been trained as a clinical social worker licensed as a clinical social worker in the state of New Mexico. I am also certified Master Addiction Counselor through National Alcohol and Addiction and Drug Association Counselor. I have over 40 years of experience as a psychotherapist. I have worker with individuals ages of 18 up 70 years of age who have had concerns with depression, bipolar issues, relation issues, re-entry assistance, substance abuse issues, loneliness and help cope with medical issues.
I believe that no matter what there is hope. Together, we will discover it. Counseling is a process looking at a situation with a new set of eyes can possibly give a different perspective. Everyone is different and there is no one solution. Creating more than one answer is helpful so that you can have many options. Alfred Alder looks at the individual to establish self in society. He was one that felt more comfortable setting at a table over a cup of coffee talking to the individual to come with ideas than setting in an office. This model fits into that modality.
Change is not easy. Yet taking the steps like you have is a step towards a goal that together we will establish for your growth. I enjoy working with people who have made first steps and hopely together we can go forward to an established goal of growth.

Thanks for the help!
One of my answers in the survey was an accident. To responding in a timely manner I definitely agree that Sharon does this well and she is flexible and helpful. Sharon has a way of catching things, even just words, and then asking me to think on it further that have really helped me start to understand and work through my own self-esteem issues and some intense self guilt/shaming cycles that are a huge downer. She sends helpful worksheets and leaves it open as to if you do them or not but considering and thinking about it is most important. Sharon has helped me come back to giving myself the time, space, love, and energy that I need from me to be my best self. I appreciate her very much!
I could tell immediately that Sharon was an excellent therapist. She is clearly experienced, and knows how to phrase things in a way that challenges me to think differently and take a better approach to how I address what's going on. She is an excellent therapist.
She is very caring and good
She’s wonderful and addresses situations with grace.
Sharon is very compassionate and loving while also providing solid direction and tools on how to progress. She is a master at reading facial expressions and tonality. Essentially if you answer a question and your incongruent it will be noticed. I always feel challenged to grow in our sessions but never overly pushed. She is a fantastic person and I am grateful to have found her.
Shannon is really the best therapist I’ve had to help me understand and adjust to my bipolar disorder she helped me quickly come up with strategies that help me in every day life and equip me to do my own self care and maintenance. I have a greater sense of empowerment, confidence and control over my life and well-being than ever before.
Absolutely incredible! Sharen is experienced and compassionate. I am truly grateful!
Sharon Harris is kind, honest and very supportive. She has quickly become aware of my goals and needs, and has given me hope that therapy may be able to help me. I haven’t had any success going to therapy before meeting Sharon, and I have seen many different therapists. She makes great use of our time together, asks valuable questions, and gives me tools/worksheets that help me stay grounded outside of our sessions together. I have only known her for a short period of time, and she has already benefitted my life greatly.
I can't say enough positive things about Sharon. She's been a lifeline during the most challenging and transformative period in my life. Just a phenomenal source of comfort, clarity, and guidance. I'm deeply fortunate we connected.
I have had one live session with Sharon and I feel we were able to communicate easily. She listens well and is able to convey that she understands the problems I am concerned about.
Sharon always listens and gives great advice. She asks hard questions but purely to help me grow. I love working with her.
I appreciate that Sharon takes the time to listen to my perspective and what is shaping how I feel. She doesn't just offer blanket advice; she genuinely listens and helps guide me in ways that are truly applicable. She helps me identify factors about myself that I hadn't realized and arrive at steps to take to improve my mood. I am grateful for her help and support.
She's very proactive and stays interested in my concerns.
I got matched with the perfect counselor. Thank you Sharon for everything
Sharon was really good at making me feel comfortable. I really enjoyed all of our sessions despite feeling hesitant to start counseling.
I have only had one session so far Sharon seems nice and knowledgeable.
