About Me

My name is Sharron McKee, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I have been in the profession for over 20 years having worked with all backgrounds and ages. I received my Master's degree from Case Western Reserve University and my Bachelor's degree from Western Illinois University. Being a social worker means meeting your client where he/she is; in other words, I start where you start. My approach to working together is that of a teammate. I feel you (my partner) are the expert on your life and my role is to offer support, encouragement, a positive environment, and that often-needed nudge. In my career, I have addressed life issues such as depression, stress, grief and loss, and trauma with my clients. My treatment approaches are Mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. I strongly believe in seeing you as a person, not your life challenges. I am here to see you being and becoming the YOU you want to see and become. You've done the difficult part in deciding to get help. Now let's get to work together!

I have only met with Sharron twice, but I feel that she is attentive and empathetic, but still challenges me when needed.

Sharon is a very good therapist. She listens well and then asks probing, thought provoking questions.

I’m into my second session with Mrs. McKee and I can say that she has been very good at listening and responding. She actually helps me pick apart things and then attack them one by one. She also responds relatively quick throughout the week when I’m in need of clarity on something and I truly appreciate it. I would highly recommend her services.
