About me

Hi there! Sometimes in life we find ourselves lost in a place that was once familiar, or at a crossroads, and the way to direction to go isn't always clear. You are not alone. If you are reading this, give yourself a warm embrace for choosing you. I come to you with a Master's Degree in Social Work from the University of Texas at Arlington, and as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). With seven years of experience as a clinician, my passions rest in working with at risk populations, young adults experiencing existential crisis, women’s/men's Issues, individuals/families experiencing crisis, primary and secondary traumas, along with psychological and emotional traumas. Also in my practice I have worked with families of children or family members with chronic and or terminal diagnosis, challenges with anger, postpartum depression, complicated grief, depression, and generalized anxiety. I believe that everything you need to succeed in life, and to overcome the challenges that you may face is already within you. I am not only here to help you during our time together, but to also help you to develop self awareness and skills that will sustain for the future.

My therapeutic approach is one that is tailored and specific just for you and your needs. Flexibility translates to adaptation. This concept correlates with the willingness to be open to change for outcomes that are desired. The space I create for you will be free of judgment, doubt, guilt, fear, or shame, and filled with honesty and support. Together as a team we will identify your strengths and do the work to reach your goal(s). My hope during this journey is for you to be empowered to be the best version of you, recognize that your strengths are great enough to overcome your obstacles, develop emotional intelligence and protective factors, and to have positive self regard. It is important to be equipped to confidently and successfully navigate this sometimes complex, yet beautiful thing called life.

I will use the following evidence based practice modalities as appropriate: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Client Centered Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Crisis Intervention, Mindfulness Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Narrative Therapy.

Communication: I am available to communicate with you in whatever way you find to be more comfortable. My availability is primarily in the evenings and on the weekends.
