About me

Hello my name is Shauna,

Firstly thank you for clicking on my profile, I am a fully qualified and insured integrative Accredited Counsellor and Registered with the National Counselling Society.

Before I became a counsellor I worked within social care settings for mental health, disabilities and learning disabilities. I also went to University and studied Midwifery, I think these careers have helped me to identify that communication skills and people skills are very important when building trust, and trust is very important within counselling.

I can change my approach to adapt to the individual clients needs, I use Person Centred, Psychodynamic, Transactional analysis theory, Attachment theory and others that i feel the client needs, respecting each person to be unique. I provide and offer a calm, confidential, safe and non judgemental space where you will feel you are heard.

I believe everyone deserves the time and space to be listened too, i appreciate how difficult it can be to look into therapy and to start it, i would like you to know i am here to support, not to judge, and i’m here to listen, and help you to achieve the best version of yourself.

I work with men, women and young adults over 18 years old. Session are either 30 or 45 minutes weekly for as long as you feel you need. I work on a short and long term basis.

If you would like to call or email me then we can set up an initial call, so we can talk about what you would like to take from counselling, if your then happy to continue i will book you in to start weekly sessions.

Thank you for taking the time to read, and I look forward to hearing from you, and if i’m not the counsellor that fits for you then I really do hope your journey in counselling goes well.
