Hello, my name is Shayla Chase and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Florida. I’m excited that you’re here. My goal is to provide you with the highest quality of services in a way that is client-centered, supportive and evidence based. My counseling style is inviting, encouraging and non-judgmental as I believe that establishing a genuine client-therapist relationship improves the effectiveness of therapy. Taking the steps towards creating change can be difficult but with commitment and patience noticeable changes will begin to occur.
I have five years+ (and counting) of experience providing mental health services to a variety of populations. I have worked with various client populations including children & teens, adults, couples and families. I have served clients with a wide range of concerns including grief & loss, depression, anxiety, stress, cognitive changes, work/life balance, self-esteem & confidence, family dynamics, and military life stressors.
My counseling approach is engaging, strengths-based and collaborative through a combination of Solution-Focused and Cognitive Behavioral therapies. As the therapist I will assist my clients with developing a vision of their desired future and offering support as they determine the skills, resources, and abilities needed to achieve that vision successfully.
Deciding to begin therapy can be emotionally overwhelming and I am here to empower you through every step of the way. It takes courage to embark on these next steps and I truly value the time and effort my clients dedicate towards personal development to be their best selves. Together, we will work towards creating a safe space to develop a plan and goals that are unique to you.
If you are ready to take that step I am here to support and empower you along your path.
I look forward to this journey with you!

I have been working with Ms. Chase for about 5-6 months now with weekly calls and it has been so great! She’s understanding and I don’t ever feel like I’m being judged even when I express my frustrations over things that some people might find “trivial”.
She has constantly been patient and understanding in helping me work through and deal with anxiety and recognizing that I can’t let anxiety and fear control my life. It had been challenging but I’m so glad I was able to connect with Ms. Chase as my counselor! She’s always so professional and always gives amazing feedback to help reel me back in when I get overwhelmed with all I’ve got going on. I love better help and I recommend it to everyone because I’ve had such a positive experience with Ms. Chase! TWO THUMBS UP!!
Shayla is a great listener and I’m glad I was connected with her.
Shayla is an amazing and understanding therapist. She is very active in asking the right questions and gives me helpful activities to help out my life. I would highly recommend her.
She is a great help so far. I look forward to speaking with her and sorting out my issues.
Shayla has been amazing. She's very prompt and checks in to see how I'm doing if she hasn't heard from me in a while. I like that she gives "homework" for me to really understand how I feel and what I want, as well as her having a better understanding of me as well. It feels like we're a team working together to find what works, rather than her just being someone to vent to.
