Shelby Quilling

(LCSW)

About Me

My name is Shelby Quilling, LCSW, and I am a licensed clinician with 6 years working experience with teenagers and adults in the mental health field. I have a Master's Degree in Clinical Social Work from UW-Madison and a Bachelor's Degree in Human Development and Family Studies from UW-Stout. Specialty areas include anxiety, depression, trauma, early childhood experiences, and grief/loss. These areas have been practiced through individual therapy, family therapy, and day treatment (group therapy) settings.

I am a firm believer that the thoughts, behaviors, and symptoms we hold mentally come from our environment and what stressors we may currently be experiencing. It is my hope to work with my clients through those stressors whether they are current of from the past in order to assist them in living their best life! My approach to therapy is non-judgmental, client focused, and soft/nurturing. I believe that clients are the experts of their own lives and the best providers for their future success.

Thank you to each and every client who is taking the step to obtain help for their current mental health struggles! Everyone goes through things in life and everyone deserves assistance if they desire. It takes a strong person to help someone else, however; it takes an even stronger person to help themselves!

Shelby is absolutely wonderful! I worked with her for a couple months to get through an assault and a few other things. I highly recommend!

Shelby has been able to help me open up and offer me the safe place I really needed. I was able to speak freely and become a total mess. She helped me understand myself, to be kinder to myself and it’s been a huge help to go about my day.

I’m feeling much more confident about my journey and Shelby has been really great at starting it off for me.

Shelby is so down to earth and easy to talk to! I really appreciate her willingness to fit me into her schedule if the times available in her public calendar don't work for me and I really appreciate her candor when chatting with me.
I've already made great progress within my relationship and being able to chat through things with Shelby has been the reason for this success!

Shelby has been incredibly helpful with me and supports me. Doesn't put unrealistic expectations on people and works through issues at a pace that you can accept. I've never felt judged. I feel comfortable admitting my mistakes with her. I needed someone like her and it makes such a difference.
