Shelby Sandlin, LPC
About me
I am a licensed professional counselor in Colorado with experience working with individuals in a number of settings including homes, agencies, and schools. I am passionate about working with individuals struggling with grief, depression, anxiety, and the effects of trauma. I have also helped a number of individuals experiencing career burnout, identity issues, and life transitions.
My counseling style is warm and empathetic with a client centered focus--meaning I believe you are the expert of your life! It is my job to provide insight and ask questions that facilitate the uncovering of capabilities and strengths already possessed. My approach combines attachment based, humanistic and cognitive behavioral strategies. I believe there is value and power in feeling seen and heard; it is my hope to provide that to each client I am able to work with.
Reaching out for help takes immense courage. If you are ready to take that first step, I am here to walk alongside and empower you! I look forward to hearing from you!

Shelby Sandlin is a great therapist. Kind, yet sturdy enough to help me make decisions for myself without always dragging through all the layers of causes and feelings. She has a great balance of creating strategies to get through the weeks challenges while also spending some time looking at core beliefs and childhood issues and causes. Working with Shelby on attachment theory and relationships has been helpful.

She’s a great support system. She is great to add, in addition to your support system, or even for her to join simply to your support system!
