About me

Hey there! My name is Sheri A. Fayton. As a licensed professional counselor and a national certified counselor, I am here to journey with you toward healing and necessary changes in your life so you can start living the best version of yourself.

Life is filled with adventure, love, joy, happiness, dreams and the list can go on and on... right? Well I know that certain experiences such as traumatic events, loss, and other situations transpire that directly impact our ability to remain hopeful about our future/purpose. When we look in the mirror, we no longer see the beauty, strength, boldness, creativity, intellect that we once saw. Instead, the "fog/steam" of life obstructs and distorts our view. Well, I would argue that the image/reflection has never changed...just your ability to see it. My role is to be a "defroster."
My specialty is addressing the needs of individuals that have been broken by life's traumatic events to include, sexual trauma, domestic violence, and physical abuse. In addition, working with individuals that have impaired self-image/esteem issues and may be experiencing a self-identity crisis.
I believe you must address the "whole person" in order to initiate the healing process to include the mind, body, and spirit. In my practice, interventions/activities are implemented to focus on these three vital components that affect our ability to function on a daily basis.

Reviews

These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Sheri Fayton. We don't pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.

I have struggled with going to therapy because I always felt each session was a check list and then I was given homework to do afterwards. Sheri has truly made me feel excited to come to therapy! Ever since working with her I feel connected and comfortable. Sheri addresses the areas that need to be explored but she doesn’t make you feel like another client she’s filling out a worksheet for. HIGHLY recommend!!

I wasn't so sure about therapy but in less than a month, Ms Sheri has made me feel very comfortable enough to be myself when talking to her. I am very happy to have her as my therapist.

She listens and responds with genuine answers that don’t sound like she’s reading off scripts like my past therapist. I love talking with her , it makes my whole week & really helps me reevaluate my feelings!
