About me

Hi! I'm Sheri Sims. I earned a bachelor's degree from Baylor University and a master's in Counseling Psychology from University of Houston. I've worked in the counseling field since 2012 and currently maintain a private practice in Texas as a Licensed Professional Counselor & I also have a tele-therapy practice in Colorado.

We all need help from others from time to time as we go through difficult or challenging seasons in our lives. My therapeutic approach is interactive and includes solution-focused brief therapy, cognitive-behavioral, directive, and coaching modalities. The therapeutic relationship between counselor and client is vitally important - establishing rapport is one of the top priorities initially.

Helping others maneuver through challenges and find joy is one
of my favorite things in life. Have hope, be encouraged. Blessings on your journey.

Reviews

These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Sheri Sims. We don't pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.

Sometimes it's easier to talk to strangers than the people that are closest to you. I don't really know why this is. For me, I need an unbiased opinion. I need someone who is not apart of the situation to provide advice from a clear view of what it look like on the outside.
I am a young adult who had just moved to unfamiliar territory alone. I felt so alone that I let it overtake me a little bit, and I just needed to get some of my fears that I didn't want to admit to anyone else off of my chest. For me, this is my outlet because I take on a lot of stress at work where I deal with so many people that also need an outlet.
Sheri brings me a sense of calming. I look forward to when she will respond. She provides helpful tools and ideas for me to utilize, and questions me about things that I haven't dug deep into in a while. She is genuine in her responses, and I feel that she truly cares for the wellbeing of those that have decided to reach out for a little guidance. I am sincerely thankful that I have her to talk to about all the things that I am dealing with currently. She has helped me tremendously.
