About me
Hi, my preferred name is Wyatt. My pronouns He/They/His. I am a transmasculine human. I carry my professional license under the name Sheri Wyatt. I have been a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and therapist for 36 years and my preference is working with adults. I do not work with couples or families. I have specialized in working with adults who have experienced childhood abuse and who may have trauma recovery needs, intimacy and relationship issues, depression and anxiety and LGBTQ issues, especially transgender/nonbinary related issues. I have extensive experience with telephonic counseling and therapy in addition to face to face therapeutic interaction. My interpersonal style is interactive and I am fully engaged with my client during our sessions. Into every interaction I bring respect, humor, kindness, honesty and a true desire to help my clients meet their life goals.
My therapeutic style is flexible depending on the needs of my clients. I am always friendly and kind and have a person centered approach with an existentialist leaning as I believe we as humans strive to find meaning in our lives in everything we do and in every interaction we have. We need meaningful relationships, work and social activities in order to be healthy and when we don’t have meaning we become unhappy, overwhelmed, depressed or addicted. In addition to my existentialist toolkit, I have many other therapeutic tools I can use to help clients achieve their mental health goals including but not limited to, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy and some Jungian concepts as well. I tailor my style and focus based on my client’s needs and interpersonal style.
Much of my work is with individuals who are undergoing significant life changes such as gender expression/identity physical, social and emotional transition, navigating significant live changes such as moving from student role to adult role, coming out, marriage and divorce, changing careers and other major life transitions. I know that even good change can be stressful and can bring up long forgotten issues or old coping skills that are no longer useful to us, so one of my goals is to help clients identify what old mechanism is being triggered and help them develop newer more useful coping skills so they can successfully navigate all the current aspects of change and develop skills that can be used when facing life’s next challenges.
If you are interested in taking the next steps in your journey I am here and looking forward to hearing from you!

Very positive, understanding and noble with ways to better yourself. Plus Wyatt has a terrific sends of humor.
Wyatt has helped me through many big life transitions and in understanding who I am. I've learned and developed useful skills to help with anxiety and any negative feelings that arise so that I can tackle them. I've had an amazing experience talking to Wyatt since he brings respect, kindness, patience, and laughter to each session. He is the best therapist I've had. I've never felt more comfortable talking to someone.
He makes me comfortable and always is in my corner thank you Wyatt
Wyatt is understanding with complicated individuals and very patient while also retaining communication and overall general interest in daily life. Wyatt has given me great and thought out insight/professional statements and is an awesome asset to any team.
I would happily recommend Wyatt to anyone.
Very personable, understanding, knowledgable and professional. Very good therapist.
Wyatt is amazing! I've always felt comfortable talking to him. He's great at balancing listening and talking. His ideas are often something that I've never considered, so I'm getting some great perspective. He's respectful and not afraid to drop a joke here and there to lighten the mood :)
Wyatt has been a great support over the last year through some huge changes in my world. It's been very helpful to have someone neutral to bounce ideas off and to give me a calm and rational analysis of everything that's been going on.
I feel like Wyatt is a great therapist for professionals in the helping field. I was able to learn a lot from them on a professional level. I am grateful.
Wyatt is an exceptional human who understands exactly how I am feeling and can provide the tools to cope with what I am dealing with. He is flexible, understanding and brilliant. I highly recommend him.
I want to express my sincere gratitude to Wyatt for his support, understanding my feelings and thoughts, and explaining them to me. He made me more confident in myself and taught me not to be afraid and anxious about everything I do. He taught me to take up space, be myself, and show myself to the world. I would recommend him to anyone. Thank you, Wyatt, from all my heart! I will keep improving myself with all the knowledge and tools you gave me.
Wyatt really found some amazing tools for me to discover myself. Always made me feel comfortable especially since I've had such bad therapist experiences before.
Wyatt was great and I was able to build a great relationship with them. Id highly suggest then for anyone whos skeptical and really needs someone to trust.
Thoughtful and professional.
Respectful, willing to work with me, just appreciate this therapist a lot. Patient and thoughtful.
Sheri has been a wonderful help to me during an extreme transition phase. They are very good at telling it how it is. I trust their judgment immensely. I would highly recommend Sheri.
Wyatt is really great
Only after two weeks my confidence in myself has grown tremendously. With Sheri Wyatt and I sharing a lot of the same life experiences, it makes finding my way in life much easier. She's very helpful with transitioning and dealing with internal struggles.
Sheri Wyatt is amazing
Sheri is great. She is warm, relatable, not afraid to speak the truth, but in a kind and caring way. She tries to be more than just a counsellor, but a friend. We have great fun in our sessions too, as Sheri has a good sense of humor. She has great recommendations for reading material and has a lot of wisdom. Overall, she's a rad girl whose killin it on Better help.
Sheri has helped me so much. I always feel uplifted after talking to her. She is like a friend, but says it like it is, even if it is something I don’t want to hear. She seems to think of things in a way that I’ve never considered. I appreciate her so much.
I'm so happy and so lucky to have found Sheri. We've been working together for just a few weeks and I feel like a painful void in my life is coming together and filling in because of Sheri's support. We talk through messages and on video and it's a great balance to know that she's there in between video calls. Our dialogue just keeps on movin' and I never knew I could really feel like chatting online would be therapeutic but it truly truly is for me. I have a new feeling of hope and a new will to push forward ... I have Sheri to thank for helping me find that within myself. I still have a lot of work to do but I have Sheri by my side and on my team to get me to my personal finish line.
Wyatt is an amazing therapist who has helped me so so much over the last two years! I couldn't recommend them enough! I am so grateful for their sense of humour, help and expertise!!
Very good at asking thought-provoking questions. Shows genuine concern for your feelings. Makes me feel very human ❤️
Sheri has been helping me navigate one of the biggest life changes I’ve ever faced. I know I couldn’t do this without her. She is outstanding
Sheri has been an invaluable help to me in times when no other therapist was able to help me. Her approach is individual, caring, thoughtful, insightful, compassionate, reasonable, informative, well-informed... She is patient, she is great at shifting your perspective. and taking away what you need to process in order to see your situation differently. Her insight into LGBTQ issues is also an incredible resource, as is her knowledge in general. Sheri has always been so attentive and in times when I needed someone to sternly tell me I needed to do better, she wasn't afraid to be honest about it. I always look forward to receiving her replies -- she is so insightful!! And it's clear she really pays attention to each individual client and their specific life and needs. Thank you for everything, Sheri!!
She's very knowledgeable and very easy to talk to, which is beneficial for a client to have in a counselor. I could see myself working with Sheri for the time I need.
Sheri was truly the counselor I needed to help me turn my life around. I cannot thank her enough.
Coolest therapist I’ve had (and I’ve had A LOT!). The right person for me at this time, who’s willing to read my super-long texts and address every issue from the most existential to the most mundane. I’m totally grateful and I’ve discovered so much about myself in the past few months. Totally recommended!
She is really helpful. She listens but I think most important she asks the right questions. I think other therapists I've worked with put blame on me on some level for abuse I've been through... Not purposefully but I don't think the had the right training. Sheri has really been great with me. She is really great and I'm grateful to have found her.
Sheri is extremely competent and no wet noodle. She will be firm when needed but is no task-master. She is kind and experienced, realistic and encouraging. Highly recommended.
I am dealing with a lot of anxiety and problems communicating in a relationship. Sheri has always been able to first express what I was feeling into a more coherent manner and also give me a different outlook on the circumstances. I highly recommend her expertise.
Sheri is really great. She’s super supportive, attentive, and she provides the right tools to get you through whatever it is you need help with. I highly recommend Sheri.
Sheri is the best. She has helped me a lot; I highly recommend her.
Sheri has helped me a lot, she gave me a fresh perspective on issues I was dealing with and her messages were always comforting and supportive. I highly recommend.
Sheri is a star. She helps in so many ways, in keeping you grounded, to helping you to remember the positives, to just giving you a kick in the butt when you need a dose of reality. Would highly recommend Sheri to anyone.
Sheri is a wonderful counselor and I'm very happy to get her guidance. She continues to follow-up with me regularly and is genuinely concerned about my issues. Thank you!
Has provided me with ways to deal with my internal turmoil.
I don't think there are an adequate amount of words to describe how amazing Sheri is..Sheri has helped me so much, I am truly grateful! She has helped me to do the work I needed to get through some emotional issues I had been dealing with for years. She is kind and works with you; she even checks on you if she hasn't heard from you in a few days. She's the best! I'd definitely recommend her to anyone.
Since I began working with Sheri, I have experienced extremely positive changes in my life. I haven't had a bad day in months and I can barely remember how is feels to be sad - and I am not exaggerating. Sheri has been very observant of my issues and responded with deep insight, curiosity and warmth, which has made the whole experience worth millions. I can highly recommend her to all and everyone.
Sherri is doing a great job with me. She talks to me in a way that is empathetic yet straight to the point. Sherri has helped me a lot in the last few months to get back on track.
After being diagnosed with Seasonal Affective Disorder and social anxiety, leaving the house to speak to someone face to face was the LAST thing I wanted to do. BetterHelp allowed me to meet and talk to Sheri in the comfort of my own home. Sheri has helped me battle my anxiety and show it who's boss! Sheri has been my supporter, cheerleader, and 'tough-love' advisor - she's also been a great friend to me throughout our time together.
Sheri has been very patient with me. Many times I cannot message her regularly but she always messages me and asks me about things around me. She understood my problem well and I like talking to her.
Sheri is awesome, totally recommended. She gives me great advices and is always there to help me with my daily issues.
I've been in and out of counseling for many years and was quite skeptical as to what my therapist could offer. Sheri has helped me to feel safe and comfortable right from the start. The attention she has given me and her replies and insight have strengthened my will to make positive changes in my life. I look forward to continued work with Sheri.
Sheri has really helped me see some things in a clear way and offered very practical feedback. I appreciate her timeliness and expertise.
Sheri Wyatt was my lifeline in a very critical situation. I would recommend this outstanding professional to anyone facing severe anxiety, panic, or emotional distress.
Sheri is a counselor that is very engaged with her clients. She is understanding, sympathetic, and asks all the right questions.
In my little experience with Sheri I have come to trust her, which isn't easy for me. She is supportive, non-judgmental and seems to genuinely care. I also like that she is intelligent and wise, hard things to find in a counselor.
Sheri is doing a great job giving me constructive feedback that I'm able to utilize and improve.
