My goal is to help you become clearer on where you are, so you are able to acknowledge your pain, heal and find the freedom to experience life in a new way, making new decisions, and finding fulfillment. I work with clients who are feeling “stuck” and inevitably struggle with addictions, anxiety, depression, compulsive behaviors, unsatisfying relationships, and unfulfilling work. I believe we are all worthy of living the life we intended – in finding the power to overcome our current circumstance thereby living a happier and more meaningful life.
In my practice, I facilitate individuals, groups, and family sessions through self -discovery and assessment. Together, we work on the challenges and issues you face. By using a solutions-focused treatment model, I am able to effectively evaluate and help. Through this process, I determine the negative cognitions, so we are able to focus on the positive.
As a solution-focused therapist, my goal is to help you uncover your true potential and lead a life that is worth celebrating. While we can’t change difficult situations of the past, we can work together to better understand and resolve challenges in your life. By applying complementary therapy approaches and techniques, we will unearth long-standing behavior patterns or negative perceptions that may be holding you back from experiencing a more fulfilling and meaningful life. I treat everyone with respect and warmth. I work to ensure that our sessions will be tailored to your needs and goals. I’m available for online therapy sessions with individuals anywhere in the state of Texas. I graduated from Prairie View A&M. I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, #80944 in the State of Texas.

Such a lovely character you can genuinely tell he wants the best for you, and he will help you achieve your goals.
While I am still early in the process of my therapy journey with Sherod, he seems compatible with my needs. He has been able to respond in a timely manner, and takes my mental health seriously
Sherod is gentle and encouraging. I feel comfortable talking to Sherod about anything.
I’m just lucky to have Sherod as my therapist. I can connect with him and usually I can sense or feel people and all I feel is trust and security with him.
