About Me
Hello and Welcome!
My name is Sherri Round and I am a licensed Professional Counselor in the Detroit Metropolitan area. It takes a lot of courage to ask for help and seek therapy, however, once you do, it can be the beginning of your healing process. Many years ago, I was involved in a terrible automobile accident and sustained a spinal cord injury, As a result, I was diagnosed a hemiplegic (Left side paralysis). My family was told with that type of injury, I would not survive. I never questioned His grace, just what He needed me to do? I was devastated, sad, and felt alone. Life isn't easy, but as we navigate through different life challenges, sometimes we need a little help and with God's grace and mercy we inspire others. I have been a Licensed Professional Counselor for many years in the state of Michigan. I respect everyone's journey and I believe that compassion, respect, and genuineness are all important in building a healthy therapeutic relationship. I have worked with individuals who struggle with depression, anxiety, stress, physical disability, and major life transitions. For the past four years, working at Team Wellness Center, an outpatient mental health facility, allows me to assist individuals who struggle with severe mental health concerns. In May 2018, Behavioral Health Professionals, Inc.. (BHP) awarded the Outstanding Provider Award to me for working with individuals with depression. I enjoy helping individuals who struggle with severe mental and physical limitations. I facilitate a weekly group "No Limits" for persons living with physical and or mental limitations to increase knowledge and awareness. The group enables us to create an environment and share stories of resilience and of the healing processes. Engage...Educate, Motivate, and Communicate! My approach to therapy is holistic providing physical and spiritual health and well-being which can be a huge component in feeling whole again. My therapeutic approach is humanistic and based on my client's ability to reach their full potential. Everyone's circumstances and situations are different, so my approach would be tailored to you and your goals.
My hope is that you will take the next steps so that we can begin the process of bringing about healing, and change to your situation. As your therapist, I will work with you in processing difficult feelings and emotions, setting goals that are important to you, and help guide you as you work through them. If you're ready, I'm here to support you.
I look forward to working with you!

Reviews
These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Sherri Round. We don’t pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.
In the short time that I’ve interacted with Sherri, I’ve gained a lot of clarity and hope on how to move pass a vicious cycle that has occurred for years. I’d highly recommend Sherri due to an analytical, empathetic and caring approach that develops and supports your healing process. Thank you Sherri
Sherri is amazing at listening and understanding. She takes the time to ask meaningful questions and helps me continue healing each week.
Sherri is a perfect march for me. She understands the multiple layers facing me and helps me move past the surface and dig down to the root.
I look forward to our weekly meetings.
Sherri has been kind and understanding. She gets my issues and shows sympathy and empathy when offering counsel.
I really love how kind and caring Sherri is. She listens to me and tries to provide me a different perspective for what my problem is. She gets excited when something develops in my life, like when I tell her about my academic plans or career plans. She really makes me feel like my opinion matters and she takes the time to listen and ask me questions about what I’m thinking. I’ve found that our sessions are very helpful! And she’s the worksheet queen. I love her worksheets so much. :)
Thank you for your dedication to your craft and ensuring we all have access to healing and growth
Sherri Round is a wonderful therapist and I have seen immediate results in a short amount of time. She's absolutely awesome!
Sherri Round LISTENS, understands, is empathetic, and is one of the best therapists I’ve ever had. (I have had 30 years of therapy!) I wholeheartedly recommend Sherri Round to anybody who wants a professional and friendly therapist who’s able to help put everything (negative emotions, past history) into a healthy, productive perspective, using cognitive behavioral therapy. A+!
Sherri is a sweet lady. She’s helped me get some good grasp on the surface of what I’m dealing with. For me personally it’s been a slow process because I really want to get the mental healing I need from traumas and dealing with anxiety. Nonetheless she’s been great! I can tell she works hard and means well. I hope to continue with her for as long as I can to not only support her but to get the help I need to find peace with my life.
Sherri has been a great help to me so far. In fact, people close to me have said that they have noticed a huge difference in my behavior (good differences) and this is from people who are not even aware of the work I have been doing.
Sherri is wonderful and has helped me a lot!
Sherri has helped me so much. She is so smart and caring and wise and I have benefited from both her expertise and her empathy. The worksheets she gave me were very helpful in helping me understand my situation more clearly and Sherri used them to help me work out concrete ways to deal with difficulties. I am very grateful to Sherri for all her help and compassion.
At first I was feeling lost and I had to work on myself to bring myself Grace and move forward with my life. It’s definitely life changing and Sherri listens to me and sends me worksheets to help me cope while I’m going through a difficult experience. She changed my life for the better. For anyone having sharing similar experiences, I highly recommend it.
It has been an honor speaking to Sherri the last couple of weeks. From the first meeting I felt as ease and felt open enough to talk about what is going on with me.
She is very good at her work.
