Sherry Franklin, LCSW
About me
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker working in a hospital outpatient setting for 21 + years, helping individuals understand, accept and manage their specific mental health state. Individuals I have worked with range in age 21-100, the average age being 45-75.
Prior to obtaining my Social Work Degree I worked in managerial positions with the United States Army overseas, the City Parks and Recreation Department, American Trans Air and several Misc. positions while completing both my BA and MA degrees. These experiences help me relate in some way to a variety of individuals in a variety of settings.
My approach is eclectic, client based-always starting where the client is, listening in a non-judgmental stance. Interjected within the individuals story I will, as appropriate and needed provide tools used in Cognitive Behavior Therapy and/or Dialectical Behavior Therapy. My approach also includes Cognitive Processing.
