Dr. Sheryl Ferguson

About Me

Hello, and thank you for reaching out. At times it may be difficult to know whether your current issues are just a phase. Counseling is a healthy and normal approach to addressing and resolving conflicts. My goal is to assist you in enhancing your coping skills and to incorporate positive ways of viewing your current situation, in order for you to LIVE a harmonious life, on your journey of self-discovery, healing, and growth.

Life is full of transitional periods. While life transitions can often mark a time of celebration, they can also be enormously challenging. Stress-related anxiety, doubt, and feelings of loss of control are common factors of transitional difficulties. I am dedicated to providing you with a supportive therapeutic environment so that we can focus in on issues specific to your concerns. I do believe that changing the way we think about a situation, may change how we feel, to ultimately evoke a positive difference in how we feel and act towards ourselves and others, and how we master our relationships and our life circumstances.

A licensed psychologist in Florida with over 15 years in private practice, I have diverse experience serving the community-at-large, assisting with depression, anxiety, relationship and communication issues, to name a few. I utilize several therapeutic styles including family systems, cognitive behavioral, psychodynamic, and reality therapies. My approach is to help you with the opportunity to find a healthier path. My strengths include empathy, compassion, humor, and sensitivity.

You can communicate with me via live chat, telephone, text messaging or video chat. Please contact me today so that we can begin on a new and renewed YOU. I look forward to meeting with you soon, and being a part of your journey.

Dr. Ferguson makes it a point to listen to me and understand where I'm coming from. Even if something is different from what she thinks or has heard before, she really is willing to learn about your personal experience.
