I am a licensed clinical psychologist who received my BA in Psychology from Hampton University and her Master of Arts and Doctor of Philosophy degrees in Clinical Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (UNC). I completed my pre-doctoral clinical internship at Mercy Hospital’s Marian Center in Springfield, Missouri. I have a range of experience with diverse populations including young adults in a prison and university counseling center; adults in private practice; couples in an inpatient psychiatric hospital, an outpatient university clinic, private practice, as well as various church settings; and individuals with chronic mental illness in inpatient psychiatric hospitals.
I am inspired by an African proverb that states, “Smooth seas do not make skillful sailors.” I believe that our experiences, especially the most difficult ones, can be learning tools that strengthen us and promote growth. One of my goals in working with individuals is to assist them in identifying and building upon their strengths to promote and facilitate change in their lives.
My therapeutic style is honest and straightforward, yet supportive and encouraging. I believe that the therapeutic relationship is a key tool in helping clients manage their distress, enhance their understanding of themselves, and facilitate growth.

Dr. Dye is incredibly knowledgeable, helpful, and is great at helping you understand why a problem is being created, without convoluting it or making it overly complicated. I have seen many therapists in person and also tried Talk Space, the app, and have yet to find someone as helpful as her. Thank you for all you do Dr. Dye!!
