About me

Welcome! My name is Shonda Fulton and it is my passion to assist individuals to become their true and authentic self. I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) in the state of North Carolina. I have been working as a therapist for the past 7 years. I have experience working with children, families and adults with mental health and substance use issues. My client’s mental health needs range from depression, anxiety, PTSD, trauma, substance use/abuse, relationship issues, LGBTQ, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, suicidal ideation and parent-child relationship issues.

My desire is to foster healing and growth within each individual, family and couple I work with. I believe that in order to make these changes, the client and I will need to look at the complete picture of their life, taking a more holistic approach. I like to draw on their strengths in order to help implement change. I want to help my clients move beyond the troubles and stressors they have experienced in their lives and help them move towards a life worth living.

I look forward to working with you!

I love my sessions with Shonda!

Written on Feb 05, 2021 after therapy with Shonda for 7 months on issues concerning stress, anxiety, self esteem, coping with life changes, coaching, and compassion fatigue

Shonda helped me grow to be a better person and take healthy risks outside of my comfort zone. She was super easy to talk to and it made my therapy sessions fun, like I was talking to a friend. She helped me figure out what I really wanted in my life and always had an ear to lend. I have nothing but good things to say about her! Would highly recommend!

Shonda is very easy to talk to and makes sure I'm comfortable with everything I do talk about. She is very non-judgmental and has lots of great worksheets and resources to help get to the root of problems. She is very quick to respond to my messages and it is easy to book appointments with her.

Shonda is brilliant. She's kind, always smiley, and she is always caring about whether I am okay or not. She lets me speak and she listens and gives me great advices. She supports me, and my confidence has gone up since I started counseling!:)

Shonda is all the things that a great counselor should be. She's kind, compassionate, listens, and above all she makes me feel comfortable and adds great insight. I've gotten to the bottom of several issues in a short time span thanks to her.
