About Me

My counseling style is warm and interactive but also honest. I believe in treating anyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, and I don't believe in stigmatizing labels. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, humanistic, integrative and rational-emotive counseling. I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs.
I have considerable experience working with adults from any walk of life going through whatever difficulties they may be experiencing.
In telling you a little bit more about myself, I graduated from the University at Albany with my Master's in Counseling in 2005. I have been in active practice with adults since that time as a licensed mental health counselor and certified rehabilitation counselor. I also have a Master's degree in Human Services and Social Welfare. I am also currently a doctoral student working on my PhD in Human Services and Social Welfare. I have spent my career focusing on helping those in need in whatever capacity I can.
I look forward to working with you!

Sreela has been a fantastic resource and has really helped me to dig deep and make connections. She always listens, is very responsive, incredibly supportive and always asks the right questions to really get me reflecting. Her support has been exactly what I've needed.

I have only had two sessions with Streela so far but I feel safe opening up to her, she is compassionate and understanding. I’m already feeling better and more at ease because she listens, and is very informative. I’m really happy I found her!

She’s great so far. I hope to heal a lot of hurt and work through a lot and she seems like she will be as attentive and patient as I may need her to be.

We are just getting started but I think we connected in a real way because she is great listener and is very responsive. She checks in constantly. I look forward to working with her more.

She listens not only with her ears/mind but with her heart, and that’s what matter to me most. It’s my heart that needs healing and uncovering and I find she is fertilizing and watering with a mother’s care and warmth.

I have been in counseling for years. However I’ve never experienced a counselor so invested in me. Sreela Stovall always gets back to me right away and she even checks on me. She also gives me assignments to work on my tools. I feel very supported and grateful for her.

I think she was made for me to talk to. The universe opened its doors, and she was absolutely the best match. It’s only been a few sessions and she has lead me into different thinking, allows me to open the doors to new ideas. I couldn’t be more grateful and hope she never leaves
