About me

I am a licensed psychologist with 20 years experience working in outpatient settings. I have lived and worked in a variety of places and feel comfortable working with a range of problems from mild anxiety or depression to more serious problems like Bipolar disorder or psychosis. If you choose to work with me, you will find that you are more than a label. I believe in us working as a team to problem solve the barriers to happiness and joy in your life.

I practice cognitive behavioral therapy. This framework will allow us to help you to change the way you are thinking about your situation, your behaviors that may be affecting your situation, and to make important life decisions. While I believe in being supportive, I will also challenge your thinking at times to help you to see more options for yourself or your family that you haven't previously seen. Homework is sometimes also used to better assist you with making progress faster and starting the life you are wanting to live.

I look forward to hearing from you and working together to meet your goals!

Thank you to Dr. Maples for being so amazing. Constant contact which keeps me from thinking I am alone. Very understanding, supportive and a huge positive in my life. I would be lost, or worse without her in my corner. Thank you so much.

Dr. Maples has been wonderful. After trying a couple of other therapists, I felt an immediate connetion with her. She's not just encouraging and supportive, she focuses on having a plan of action...something that allows me to see actual progress and feel that I'm moving forward. She also helps me to not place too much value on things I can't control and to allow myself the grace to forgive my mistakes and celebrate my baby steps.
