About Me

Thank you for taking the first step toward your healing journey! My name is Stacy Hixon, I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Texas. I am only licensed to counsel current residents of Texas. I hold a Master of Arts degree in Counseling from Letourneau University. I am passionate about mental health for individuals, and the preservation of marriage and family cohesion. I have personal experience, and enjoy working in areas of anxiety, depression, post traumatic stress disorder, communication, conflict resolution, coping skills, setting boundaries, healing the inner child, body image issues, and finding balance in one’s life.

From the age of 11 years old, at my first visit to my own counselor, I have felt a calling to counsel, educate, and advocate in the field of mental health. My goal is to create a therapeutic alliance with my client(s) for your unique needs. I offer a safe environment, empathy, understanding, and a willingness to collaborate with all clients toward a positive and successful outcome. I enjoy walking along side my client(s) on their unique path to assist in offering guidance and skills along the way. I offer nonjudgmental support and encourage you to feel empowered to make changes in your life for wellness and better mental health. I have worked collaboratively with a diverse population of clients toward a successful end goal.

My personal experience as the wife of a law enforcement officer and wife of a Navy veteran, a mother, stepmother, and child of divorce allows me a personal insight when working with law enforcement officers, their families, military families, blended families, contentious divorce situations, difficult co-parenting situations, and stalking.

I look forward to our journey together!

After only a few weeks and beginning my journey through therapy with Stacey, I have found new ways of coping with every day stresses that increase my already high anxiety. Whether that be work, family, friends, situations outside of my control… She is always there to listen and she give constructive feedback. We are also working through my long history of body dysmorphia and she has given me tools to try to train myself to think differently. I am excited to see where this journey goes and am glad that she is leading me through it. Highly recommended.

I cannot say enough positive things about Stacy. She has been life changing. Constantly there to support me no matter what, even if I made the wrong decision or was in a deep rut. A truly smart, caring, and fun person! She'll take care of you.

Stacy holds a non-judgmental and open minded space where I feel safe to express myself. She offers perspective and reframing of limiting beliefs that have genuinely helped me see myself and my life in a new way. She brings her own life experience into her counseling, which feels so relatable and relieving. What I most appreciate about Stacy is that she is very at home in herself, which gives me permission to be more relaxed and comfortable as myself. She meets you where you are and gives gentle guidance towards where you want to go.
