My name is Stacy McCarty. I am an Independent Licensed and Marriage & Family Therapist and Supervisor (LMFT-S). I have been practicing for approximately 19 years after receiving my Master of Science (MS) degree from Friends University. I begin my clinical therapist career in Kansas until I moved to Texas in 2013. I transferred my license to Texas and under the Texas State Board of Examiners of Marriage and Family Therapist I have been providing services in the Houston metro area. My therapeutic experience includes working with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures. My work includes addressing issues such as trauma/abuse, intimate partner violence, depression/anxiety, parenting, LGBTQ, and relationship distress.
It is my belief we all experience challenging moments in life. Sometimes those moments require a non-judgmental perspective to help work through those challenges. It is my goal as a therapist to help you find the skills to remove the barriers that are preventing you from leading a happy and healthy life. My training as an LMFT-S provides me with a systemic approach when working with others, which means we can talk about how everything and everyone around you impacts your life. The goal is to empower you to establish healthy relationships and boundaries so you can be the best you! I am collaborative in style which means we will always work together!

LMFT #202125 (Expires: 2020-11-01)
Stacy listens, responds with good insight and advice as well as data when needed. She’s caring and professional. She has a lot of experience and re-enforces the safe space of therapy.
She is so genuine. She also makes sure not only to ask the right questions but point out when you are doing the right things and praise you for it. She is so reassuring especially when I don’t know if I am being rational. She also will tell you the best route of therapy whether or not it is in her best interest. She doesn’t abandon you if you need more help. She’s very quick to respond. She’s got a big variety of topics she can counsel on. She is so great, I can’t say enough great things about her.
Stacy is so kind and wise in her words. It it evident that she is very knowledgeable! I look forward to our weekly visits! She’s amazing!
