I believe that telling your story can be healing, which is why therapy can be so effective. With a bachelors and masters degree in social work, and as a Licensed Independent Social Worker licensed by the state of Ohio & Utah, I have ten years of experience in the field of mental and behavioral health. Together, we will explore ways to help you heal.
My diverse work experience includes working in inpatient and outpatient settings providing individual and group therapy, working with those involved with the justice system, counseling those who have sexually offended, and guiding the many who have sexual addictions (including pornography). If you are struggling with depression, anxiety, substance use, mood instability, and/or diminished self-esteem, I can help. My specialty population is adult males & females, but I have worked with adolescents in the past.
I always strive to find the best approach for each client’s individual needs and will tailor each session specifically to you. The different modalities used in my counseling approach include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Trauma Focused. I have experience providing therapy centered on relapse prevention and the Good Lives Model.
For your convenience, I offer live video and live phone sessions, including email communication during the week. I look forward to working with you.

I have been in therapy for a very long time, and I have never felt like someone supports me and truly understands where I'm coming from the way she does. I cannot say enough good things about her.

I am SOO SOO happy I found Stefanie! She has been the best therapist I could find (and I've seen A LOT) Any of my previous therapist, I never truly felt a click with them and I never really felt good after a session, but with Stefanie, I can literally feel the weight being lifted off my shoulders with her.
She is incredibly easy to talk to and I have felt so comfortable with her the whole time. I am extremely grateful for her help and I don't think I could give her enough praise! She is just amazing!!!
