About me

Welcome - I am so glad you have made it here!

My name is Stefi and I am a Licensed Specialist Clinical Social Worker (LSCSW) in the state of Kansas. I have experience working in a domestic violence shelter, a residential/intensive outpatient substance abuse program, an in-home family reunification and preservation program, a children's psychiatric hospital and residential treatment program, and have previously provided case management for foster care/permanency and refugee resettlement programs. I have experience working with clients struggling with trauma, abuse/neglect, depression, anxiety, perfectionism, interpersonal conflict, family conflict, dissociation, compassion fatigue/burnout, career challenges, future planning, disordered eating, communication challenges, and navigating difficult life transitions.

My counseling style is laid-back, with a non-judgmental focus on client-centered empowerment. I believe everyone is worthy of love, respect, and compassion and need only the proper tools and connection to thrive. I believe we all are doing the best that we can with the tools and resources currently at our disposal. That being said, if there are areas of your life lacking fulfillment or causing you distress, let's add to your toolbox together. I have extensive experience using cognitive-behavioral, solutions-focused, and narrative approaches to help my clients achieve their therapeutic goals. I often use humor and everyday language to be relatable and inviting in session but rely on my clinical judgement to appropriately pair my approach to best meet the unique needs/preferences of each client. My goal is to listen to your story, sit with you in that experience, and collaborate with you to design a tailor-made treatment plan to move you forward on the path to healing.

It takes incredible courage and vulnerability to take the first steps towards change, and I'm so glad you have. If you are ready to take the next steps and feel I would be a good fit to do so with you, I am here to support and empower you every step of the way.

I look forward to working with you!

Stefi is an incredible therapist who listens, encourages and offers considerate and appropriate redirect when necessary without being condescending or disrespectful. She truly understands what it means to be inclusive, personal and professional in the best possible ways. I have never felt more comfortable and open with a counselor and I have tried many.

Stevie has been a game changer in helping c me process life! I feel like I can openly discuss issues with her without judgement. She’s flexible with approaches that challenge but can easily fit into my life. This is the first time I have ever felt validated and moving forward during therapy and I owe that completely to Stefi!

I don’t know what to say other than she is the best! I’ve been to dozens of counselors over decades and have never had someone this tapped into my issues. She’s amazing!
