Stephanie El, LCMHC
About me
I’m a counselor in North Carolina and I have been practicing for 17/years with a variety of clients including couples, military families, families impacted by hospice, and children’s behavioral issues. I’ve also done elementary school counseling and substance abuse counseling. I have also worked on military bases around the world so my clientele has been culturally diverse.
My interest is in seeing my clients live their best lives through sorting through whatever issues they present in my presence using techniques from cognitive behavioral therapy, solution focused modalities and mindfulness theories.

Stephanie is amazing! Easily the best therapist I have worked with.

Stephanie is thoughtful and compassionate to my feelings and struggles. She provides me with feedback that is supportive while also being fair.
She helps me see the bigger picture in turns when I can only see what’s in front of me.
She respectfully puts me in my place when I know I’m being irrational, but also understands why I’m feeling the way I am and provides feedback that helps me see things a different way.
I’m happy I was matched with her :)
