About Me

Hi there! Thank you for visiting my profile. As humans, we all need a helping hand sometimes. Congratulations on taking a step toward getting that help! I know it's not always easy. Here's a little information about me to help you decide if I might be a good fit for your counseling needs. As a therapist, my goal is to empower you to reach your goals. I provide a non-judgmental space for you to share your vision of where you want to be, as well as the challenges that you are facing that may be getting in the way. After identifying these challenges, we can focus on solutions, taking one step at a time to achieve your goals. It is my belief that anyone can change and grow if they are willing and open to working on it. Some of the tools I use to collaborate with my clients are cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, solution-focused therapy, mindfulness, and strengths-based approaches. If you need more information, I can certainly tell you more about these methods as we work together!

I am a licensed clinical social worker with a bachelor's degree in psychology from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, and a master's degree in social work from West Chester University. I have been working in the mental health field for 9 years and have been doing therapy for the last 5 of those years. Areas I have the most experience in include depression, anxiety/stress, self-esteem issues, trauma, and alcohol/drug addictions. I have also worked with people who are experiencing difficulties adjusting to stressful life changes, such as grief and loss issues, changes in employment/retirement, relationship changes, and coping with a disability, such as chronic pain. I have experience working with individuals ages 18 through older adulthood as well as individuals from diverse backgrounds. If you want to start your therapy journey with me, I'd be honored to work with you!
