Hello! Thank you for reaching out! My name is Stephanie Hager and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Georgia and a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the State of Florida. I also have held my National Counselor Certification since 2002. I have 30 years of experience in working with children, teens, and adults in mental health and educational settings. I am a retired Army spouse and have lived in many states coast to coast. I have a wide range of experience with both life's challenges and mental health issues. I specialize in school-aged children and adults with behavioral issues, mental health issues (depression, anxiety, and trauma), and life issues (overweight, relationships, decision making, military lifestyle, parenting and career issues).
I treat everyone with respect and offer a warm, inviting and safe place to talk about issues and concerns. My counseling style uses techniques from a variety of approaches in the Humanistic, Cognitive-Behavioral, Solution-Focused, Motivational-Interviewing and Mindfulness fields. Together we will determine what approach will best address your concerns and we will develop a treatment plan.
You have taken the first step in your journey to improve your situation. That takes courage and shows you are committed to making a change in your life. We will work together to clarify issues and develop a plan to meet the goals you set for yourself. I will always support you and may even challenge you along the way.

I’ve only had a few sessions with Stephanie so far, but she has been fantastic! She listens to me, understands me, and supports me fully. She talks me through my issues without judgement and has already made me realize things that I probably wouldn’t have otherwise in dealing with my particular situation. She challenges me to think. When messaging, she responds almost immediately! Stephanie feels more like a friend than a therapist. :)

My experience through better help with Stephanie Hager has honestly been one of the best decisions I've made for myself. Stephanie is so kind, understanding, funny, knowledgeable, and GENUINE in the words she speaks. I feel that those are all amazing attributes to have in a therapist and she really offers a safe judge free zone. Stephanie has helped me work through many issues in my life with actual tools that can be used anytime, anywhere, as well as constant support and encouragement. If you are lucky enough to get paired with her, consider yourself blessed. She will honestly help you change your life for the better.
