About Me
Hello, my name is Stephanie Koslowski, and I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker licensed in the state of MN. Besides being licensed I also bring with me a lifetime of experience and wisdom. I graduated from USD with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and from the University of St. Thomas, St. Paul with a master’s degree in Clinical Social Work.
I have extensive experience in serving diverse populations. Adept at cross-cultural communication from work with Native American, African American, Asian, and Latino populations as well as immigrants from other countries and of various ethnic, religious and socioeconomic backgrounds. I’ve worked with clients with a multitude of issues: trauma and abuse, depression, anxiety, anger issues, and relationship issues. Over 20 years’ experience in interviewing, counseling, and group facilitation. Clinical practicum completion in the Diversity Social Work Advancement Program with the clinical focus on the treatment of trauma. Training and experience in Narrative Exposure Therapy: short-term intervention for Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. I am a listener that is “present.” My style is warm. caring and supportive. All my clients are treated with respect and compassion in a non-judgmental way. I strive to make my clients feel comfortable and build on areas of trust.
