Welcome to BetterHelp! My name is Stephanie Murana and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Connecticut. I graduated from the University of Connecticut in 2014 with a Masters degree in Educational Psychology, with a concentration in School Counseling. For five years, I have worked to help families from all different backgrounds in our state to work through challenges such as depression, anxiety, trauma, grief and difficulties with family/relationships. I greatly enjoy helping people be their best selves and work toward achieving their goals. Everyone deserves to feel comfortable and their voices heard by the people closest to them. In my experience, offering a safe place for people to express their feelings without fear of judgment is paramount. I provide that feeling of understanding and comfort through my approach to counseling. My counseling style is eclectic in the sense that I tailor my approach to what works best for you, the client! However, the foundation of my practice comes from a client-centered approach, which focuses on building a solid relationship between counselor and client, as well as empathy, mutual respect and support. If you are ready to make positive changes in your life and to take the next step, I am here to help you each step of the way! I look forward to working with you!

Stephanie is great! I look forward to our sessions!
Stephanie is fantastic. She takes the time to understand where I’m coming from and to then help me explore with more depth what’s on my mind.
Stephanie is great. She's very available to talk most times of day, and I feel like we have a good rapport. I look forward to our live chats, and appreciate the support she gives me, and the tools and techniques she suggests.
I have tried counseling in the past and it never worked for me but using Better help did. I think it is a lot more convenient and I feel like I can explain myself more over text than in person. I would definitely use this again if I run into another problem. Stephanie helped me to understand my situation and I am very thankful. Overall I am very impressed with this experience.
