I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in the state of Ohio with 12 years of experience in the mental health field. I have worked with individuals ages birth (yes, birth!) to adult, all with their own unique presentation of symptoms and challenges, including but not limited to: anxiety, depression, mood and personality disorders, chronic illness, eating disorders, relationship and family issues, trauma, and parenting issues.
My training and career opportunities have taken me to a variety of settings and I initially began work in hospitals doing federally funded psychological research. I quickly realized though that it was the more clinical aspects of the field that held my interest and I switched my focus to consist solely of counseling. I've worked in preschool school classrooms with traumatized children ages 3 to 5 years, in home environments with infants and parents with either attachment or depression issues, in outpatient community mental health agencies with children, adolescents and adults, and most recently in private practice and schools where I advocate for more mental health resources and services for both students and teachers alike. Individual counseling, couples counseling, group counseling, family counseling...you name it, I've done it!
When working with a client, my style and approach is first and foremost a collaborative one. We are a team! Using cognitive-behavioral and humanistic techniques, with some solution-focused, multi-systemic and reality therapy thrown in, we'll lay out what's bothering you and what led you to reaching out to BetterHelp and then together come up with goals and plans to help you get to a better place. What I can promise from my end is timely and attentive communication that is both respectful and open-minded, constructive and fair. Recognizing you need assistance and asking for help is more than half the battle and I'm looking forward to making the rest of the journey with you.

Stephanie is an incredible therapist. She knows how to support but, also challenges the worry and thought processes. I like how I can in the moment debrief and make little things stay little things. She is wonderful!
I am extremely happy so far with all her help and guidance.
Stephanie made this the best decision I ever made to get help. I struggle with epilepsy and stress effects it. My seizures are long and lethal kind. Stephanie is the best and I think if I didn't find her I would not be here now. She is the most understanding person and has helped me above and beyond her job description. She is an angel.
Stephanie is readily available, almost at a moment's notice, and is clearly experienced via her suggestions and focus during our sessions. I cannot recommend her highly enough as I have a rough schedule to deal with and have had to use phone calls as well as messaging just to keep in touch. Regardless of my work/life balance issues, Stephanie has been ready to respond and work with me. She's definitely worth every moment!
I've been in and out of therapy my entire life. I've never had anyone genuinely care and listen to me like Stephanie does. She answers quickly, and always knows how to help!
Stephanie is great! She is very positive and her personality is comforting. Whatever the topic, she listens and is not judgemental.
Stephanie responds to my concerns and needs very quickly and with attention to personal detail. She addresses all aspects of the things I say and then follows up later so I know she really listened. She sends me resources and active ways to battle my anxiety and she makes me feel understood and safe. She’s also very relatable and builds a connection with me.
Stephanie is amazing. I’m blessed to have her as a counselor. She really makes me feel validated and respected. She helps me see the good in the bad. I was in a very bad place when I came to BetterHelp and I still have bad days. Knowing I can reach out and my thoughts and concerns with myself will be heard and answered has been instrumental in my path to overcoming a lot of my mental health hurdles.
Stephanie has been extremely helpful for me! She’s absolutely amazing at helping you identify the thought patterns that have led to your depression and in then assisting you in replacing those negative thought patterns with positive ones. She’s very funny and is able to add humor to the conversation without ever sounding judgemental. Stephanie’s very nuanced in her approaches and can tell when you’re feeling especially down. It definitely feels amazing to know she’s in your court. Stephanie is absolutely perfect in every category! I can’t imagine a better counselor!
She is great at her job
I really wanted a counselor who would push me to understand myself, the good, the bad and the ugly. Stephanie has been doing great work in this regard and I always value her insight.
Stephanie is great! I tried Better Help a year ago with two different counselors and I didn’t care for either of them. Stephanie is very kind and knowledgeable. She is also very relatable and likes to comment on personal things about your life that she can relate to. She also uses more relaxed terminology sometimes like “lol” and smiley faces. It sounds silly but for me personally it just makes her more relatable and down to earth.
Stephanie has been great.
I've been working with Stephanie for about 2-3 days now, and she is great! I thought this online wouldnt work for me but she's really easy to talk too, and very caring :) She has already been making things easier for me. I wouldn't want any other counselor. HIGHLY reccomend :)
