About me

I hold a B.A. in Psychology, an MS.Ed in Mental Health Counseling from CUNY Hunter College, and a certificate in Neurofeedback from New Mind Academy. I am a member of the American Counseling Association and the American Mental Health Counseling Association and their respective Neurocounseling special interest groups. Additionally, I am an adjunct lecturer and co-host a radio show on Business Talk Radio where I provide information on psychotherapy.

I have an eclectic counseling style. I draw upon classical theories and evidenced-based methods, such as CBT and Neuroscience, to inform the counseling process. My interventions are diverse and range from mindfulness exercises to technology assisted Neurofeedback. Each person if different and thus, I weave together a treatment plan that is based on the individuality of the client.

Aside from messaging throughout the week, I like to do a weekly video session with each client (a minimum of 10 minutes) as a check-in and an opportunity to further discuss their concerns and progress. Doing video check in's is a tremendous help to the therapeutic process.

I believe that trust is the bedrock of the therapeutic process and work with the client to establish a safe space to explore their intricate thoughts and behaviors. I honor my client's uniqueness and understand that everyone walks their own special path. My hope is that I can play an integral role in helping you along your journey.

Stephanie is very helpful and has been to me for months. I'm a returning client due to stopping briefly for financial reasons. I have felt lost not having someone I trust that I can talk too and offload my issues with.

Stephanie is an amazing counselor. She listens with no judgement and is really here to help. She really helped me learn things about myself that I wasn’t even aware of. I’m really happy that BetterHelp matched me with her.
