About me

It looks like you have taken the first step in finding a solution to your struggles. The next step is finding the right counselor to meet your specific needs. It will be essential to find someone in which you feel confident and comfortable. If you're feeling stuck in issues surrounding feelings of depression, anxiety, and negative thoughts and emotions, I would like to assist you in moving forward and taking the necessary steps to begin to make the changes you might currently be unable to achieve alone.

There's a variety of things that can be affecting you and keeping you from feeling your best. Counseling sessions can give you the space to sort those things out. I believe in approaching problems wisely and with sound, evidence-based principles to address issues that may seem overwhelming and hard to overcome.
The purpose of our sessions will be to assist you in building back your resources, confidence, and abilities to cope with daily stressors, unhealthy emotions, and self-defeating/self-sabotaging behaviors. I provide a comfortable therapeutic setting focused upon building a positive rapport, trust, empathy, authenticity, and confidentiality. As we engage in conversation during sessions my intention is to provide a safe space for you to reflect, review and clarify your needs. I see my role in session as assisting you through your wellness with clarifying questions, reflections, and perspective. You don't have to continue to face difficulties alone. Let's sort it out and get you feeling better.
I have 18 years of experience working with clients with a variety of complex issues, but my specialities are working with individuals experiencing feelings of anxiety, depression, and dealing with a variety of life's traumas. I know the importance of having a balanced life in all areas of functioning (mental, emotional, physical and spiritual). I know good evidence-based strategies for living and finding joy.
