I am a licensed clinical social worker in the state of Pennsylvania and I have over 7 years of experience providing various human services including therapy/counseling, casework, and professional training/education. Since I have completed an additional two year certification process in Choice Theory/Reality Therapy and have a lot of experience utilizing a cognitive-behavioral therapy approach or CBT, these are my main therapeutic interventions. I believe in addressing the present and not putting a lot of emphasis on the past or the future since we cannot change or control what has happened or what has yet to happen. I feel that often times a lot of stress and distress for individuals comes from worrying too much about the past or the future, sometimes to the point that we forget that we live in the present. I also believe in and practice certain aspects of Gestalt, Person-Centered, Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy (REBT), Existential, and Feministic therapeutic orientations. It is my belief that a lot of our daily actions, reactions, and behaviors have to do with our internal thoughts, messages, and perspectives. I believe in addressing cognitive thought processes in order to help change behaviors and alter perceptions, therefore resulting in changes in mental and physical realities.
I also believe in holistic healing approaches in combination with therapeutic interventions. I encourage self-care, mindfulness, stress management, and burn-out awareness. I often times recommend the exploration and use of natural and holistic healing interventions such as aromatherapy, Reiki, massage, meditation, and other alternative healing approaches. I believe in practicing mindfulness and experiencing living in the present. By exploring various options and treatments, you can make educated choices as to what may work for you to help achieve your individualized successful results.
I believe that it is up to you to make the positive changes in your life and that a lot of changes and progress can be made even when/if things seem hopeless. I believe that it is my role to help facilitate, encourage, provide education, and support you in a safe environment while guiding you on your journey of change and self-discovery. We all have a personal journey in this lifetime, and I am here to help support, guide, teach, and be a reflective listener for you.

Stephanie is amazing! She listens and gives feedback and tips and great coping mechanisms. She keeps in touch with me outside of our schedule sessions, she checks in on me. I just really appreciate her for being there for me when I need it most.
