I am a Licensed Master of Social Work (LMSW) in the state of Michigan, with over 16 years of experience providing therapy in multi-faceted ways. For the past 5 years I have worked at a hospital as a medical social worker, providing therapy for those suffering from a variety of hardships. Prior to that, I worked primarily as an additions counselor for those with substance dependence and their families. I have experience treating depression, anxiety/panic, women's issues, relationship issues, career issues, and those with both physical and mental health issues.
My approach is warm and welcoming. I believe in creating a space that is judgment free and accepting. I individualize treatment based on your needs. I have a holistic approach that includes cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, with a psycho-dynamic perspective.
The pandemic has created a lot of anxiety and unknowns for us all and if you need help navigating life's challenges, I am here to support you and walk through it with you.
I look forward to working with you!

Stephanie has helped me a great deal in building a repertoire of strategies to manage my anxiety. She is thoughtful, nonjudgmental and balances guidance with encouraging my own self-inquiry.
Stephanie has a wealth of resources for just about anything you might be struggling with. She's also kind, nonjudgmental, and well-read.
It’s very hard for me to feel comfortable talking to someone about my past trauma. Stephanie is great.
I can actually see the changes within my thinking and actions since I started counseling with Stephanie. She always listens to my conflicts and suggests practical ways to either get through them or think about them in a different perspective. I highly recommend speaking with her if you are looking to make and achieve your goals!
I feel very comfortable talking to Stephanie. We are moving at my pace. She listens, validates, offers suggestions and self help outlets.
