I view entering into a therapeutic relationship as an act of bravery and a leap of faith. It will involve stepping outside your ‘comfort zone’. I hold a Post Graduate Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy; I am a member of the British Association for Counsellors and Psychotherapists and hold a valid DBS and professional indemnity insurance. I have a background in teaching that continues to contribute to my client work.
As the relationship becomes established, clients sometimes wish to bring personal documents to demonstrate their world view, such as photographs and family trees. Other clients might wish to express themselves by drawing diagrams in the session or using metaphors to describe their thoughts, feelings and experiences. Everything you bring is treated with the greatest respect.
