About me

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor who has been working in the field of counseling for over a decade. My main goal with the clients that I get to work with is to help them improve their emotional intelligence. Life can be stressful. It can feel at times like you are being pulled around like a puppet on strings. Our emotions can seem automatic and out of our control. I went through these issues and others. I spent time looking for answers and today I enjoy sharing them with everyone that I get to work with. You can take control life and make your it what you want it to be. You can make your own happiness, it is all inside you just waiting to be unlocked.
I have a Master's degree in counseling but did not stop there. I have been trained in many different techniques to provide my clients with the most options of how they want to work on themselves. I am honored every time that a person asks me to be a part of their journey and want to honor them back with the best treatment that I can give. This includes Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Heart Centered Hypnotherapy, mindfulness, meditation, and spirituality.
My focus is only on you and helping you to figure what you need. We will collaborate to put together a map to your better life. I only want to help you go where you are ready to go and to assist you in the work that you want to do. This is your time and I want to make the most of it.

Reviews

These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Stephen Brown. We don't pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.

We only had one session as my plans changed, but Stephen was easy to talk to and made me feel very comfortable. He introduced me to a technique that I hadn’t met before (which was quite effective!) and explained everything in clear terms. Would recommend.

Steve is a godsend. He’s very open minded but with a confidence and intellect that I admire.

Stephen has been really great, being very open to adapt to my mental health journey and there when I needed him. Thank you!

Stephen has been such an eye opener. He is very patient with me and his soothing voice makes it all comforting and trusting. I would recommend him but then he will be less available for me if I do. Haha. Thank you Stephen for helping me when everything seemed hopeless.
