As an (NBCC: "Nationally Certified Counselor"), and Ordained Minister I am uniquely qualified to provide Professional Counseling in wide variety of contexts. In addition to "Evidenced Based Counseling" (i.e. CBT, DBT), I also use "Supportive Counseling" which I learned in Florida working with several psychiatrists. This type of therapy was used in an inpatient and outpatient setting with a psychiatric/counseling emphasis. Finally, I use "Nouthetic Counseling" which is essentially counseling based on "The Holy Scriptures". I attempt to use all current "Best Practices" for intakes and referrals. I use certain psychometric tests as indicated. For substance abuse issues I use evidence based ASAM 1.0. I For marriage issues I use "Prepare-Enrich". For other problems I am a strategic eclectic theorist.
In closing, I am a qualified Professional Counselor using some of the latest and proven applications (Aaron T. Beck , Marsha Linehan, etc. ) but I also use The Bible as a map for Behavioral Medicine.
